Personal Freedom

Just a few days ago we witnessed the Inauguration event with so many first on Martin Luther King Day. First that would never have taken place years ago for so many people. I felt even more inspired after spending the day watching the events with my family. Realizing that the women who went before me never had the opportunities that I have today. Being able to be a black women with no degree, running a global business from home with my family, and home-school our son. The possibilities are endless but unfortunately we accept the impossible and allow others to determine or write the scripts for our life.

Now more than ever is the best time to start a business. For my family it was a home based business in the Network Marketing Industry in which we believe in. I did it with fear and not understanding how things work. The bible was so right, people do die because of lack of knowledge and I refuse to leave this earth and not be a student to the information that will improve me as a person and live an abundant life. Today, I am free! Free to choose, where to live, and to live the life my creator gave me to the fullest! What are doing to be free? Peace;)

New Year, New Thinking!

We are already into the 2nd week of the new year and I am so excited. Do you ever have those moments when you just get this feeling that something amazing is about to happen? Well, I get that feeling a lot now. One reason is focusing on one of my goals for the new year. That goals is Positive Thinking or getting rid of negative thoughts. I am not a negative thinker (my hormones may disagree) but I realize the power of positive thinking because of the evidence I have seen in my life.

I am a strong believer in the power of prayer and I also believe that many prayers go unanswered because we really don't think or believe it will happen. So this year, focusing on paying attention to what I am thinking, getting at least 8 hours of sleep every night, taking my supplements EVERYDAY, exercising and eating healthy are top priority for 2013 and the rest of my life. Leave a comment below and let me know what you are thinking. Peace!

Happy Boss's Day!

So I woke up this morning to different post on Facebook about today being Boss's Day. I have to say I got a laugh at some of the post. But a few minutes later my mother-in-law called. I can say I am blessed to have a mother-in-law that I love and look forward to our conversations. For those of you who do not know my mother-in-law she is a spunky, energetic 81 year old who will tell you she has never had a boss. She became a hairdresser over 50 years ago! She has always believed no one will ever pay you what you are worth. She went on to tell me how she knew she didn't want a boss telling her she could only make a certain amount of money. When African American women that she knew were making only $15 a week, cleaning and cooking for someone else, she would make more in a day than her friends would in a week. She also believes in the Network Marketing Industry and chose to have her own business years ago and made a huge success of it.

She says that we in the U.S. have it so easy but take education and work for granted and realizes why many come from other countries and are able to take advantage of any and all opportunities to make a success of their lives. With today being Bosses day and I have no boss to thank. I thank my mother-in-law for confirming to me and my family that being your own boss is the best way to go only if you will do the work and then you will reap the rewards of being paid what you are worth. Oh and Happy Boss's day to me:) and any other of you who are THE BOSS!
