Out with the old, in with the new!

As I was watching the guy replace the old dishwasher and replace it with a new one, it got me to thinking (as if I never stop). Why are we so afraid of change? Being a Military Spouse and just living life in general, things are never certain. I learned from a very wise woman that when you want to be in control, you are really out of control! WOW!

So everyday I make a conscious effort to accept the things I cannot change and change the things I can...sound familiar...heehee! Stop sweating the small stuff! Worrying also doesn't get me anywhere but having an upset stomach and headache. That's when I feel a little nudge from God as if to say, "when you are done trying to figure it, just let me know. I'll be over here".

I read this quote this morning, “Seventy per cent of all patients who come to physicians could cure themselves if they got rid of their fears and worries.” ~ Dale Carnegie Ouch!

Then I read this, “You do not not get stomach ulcers from what you eat. You get ulcers from what is eating you.” ~Dr. Montague

Need I say more about worrying? It does nothing for me! So today I choose to be free as a bird, take care of myself, leaving all my cares and concerns at the foot of my heavenly Father because after all, it's His world, I just live in it!!! Bring on the new!!!

Peace!
